EYE SCREENING NORMAL RETINA
EXAMPLE OF A
WHAT IS IT?
Eye screening is a way of spotting eye problems before you notice any changes to your sight. It’s important to know that
this type of eye screening isn’t the same as a regular eye test with an optician. You still need to have regular eye tests, as
they check for lots of other problems.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT
Eye screening allows healthcare teams to see eyes more closely and precisely. Early signs of diseases such as diabetes, OPTIC
hypertension and glaucoma can be identified by eye screening. Eye screening can help you spot and treat diabetes, DISC
hypertension and glaucoma, which should prevent it from progressing to a stage where it’s more difficult to treat. MACULA RETINAL
