BODY FAT Your body fat percentage is 26.9% OBESE
WHY IS BODY FAT IMPORTANT?
Everyone needs some fat to stay healthy. We have different types of fat in the body. Subcutaneous fat is the fat just
below the skin, so we can often feel it. It provides insulation/warmth, cushioning/protection, and is an energy reserve.
Subcutaneous fat is not related to many of the classic obesity-related disorders, such as heart disease, cancer, and
stroke. Visceral fat is hidden internal fat that is wrapped around your organs. This is a bigger health risk. Too much
visceral fat can;
Raise your blood cholesterol
Increase your blood pressure
Put you at increased risk of developing coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
